Maryland Minimum Wage and Other Requirements and Worker Freedom Act

Effective: October 1st, 2026

State: Maryland

Type: Required State Poster

Effective October 1, 2026, the Maryland Worker Freedom Act protects employees who decline to attend employer-sponsored meetings concerning the employer’s opinions on religious or political matters. Beginning November 1, 2026, covered Maryland employers must display the new notice in a conspicuous location where employee notices are customarily posted and provide a copy to each new employee upon hire. Employers should add this new mandatory notice to their Maryland workplace postings and onboarding materials.

Hawaii Wage and Hour, Disability Compensation, OSHA, and Dislocated Worker/Closing

Effective: October 5th, 2026

State: Hawaii

Type: Required State Poster

Hawaii has revised four required workplace notices. The Wage and Hour Laws Notice reflects the current $16.00 minimum wage, the scheduled increase to $18.00 on January 1, 2028, and expanded family-leave protections for qualifying military exigencies. The Disability Compensation Law Notice adds and clarifies information concerning workers’ compensation, Temporary Disability Insurance eligibility, organ donation, and permissible payroll deductions. The Occupational Safety and Health Notice updates workplace-incident reporting procedures, whistleblower complaint instructions, and HIOSH and federal OSHA contact information. The Dislocated Worker/Closing Notice clarifies which employers and transactions are covered, who must receive advance notice, and eligibility for the dislocated worker allowance. The revisions also include updated agency contact information, reorganized content, and new poster designs. Hawaii employers should replace their current postings with the revised notices and display them in a conspicuous location where employees can readily view them.

Florida Minimum Wage Notice

Effective: September 30th, 2026

State: Florida

Type: Required State Poster

Florida has revised its required Minimum Wage posting to reflect new wage rates effective September 30, 2026. The state minimum wage will increase from $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, while the minimum cash wage for tipped employees will increase from $10.98 to $11.98 per hour, in addition to tips. Florida employers should replace the previous notice with the revised version by the effective date and display it in a conspicuous and accessible location where employees can readily view it.

District of Columbia Paid Family Leave Notice

Effective: October 1st, 2026

State: District of Columbia

Type: Required State Poster

The District of Columbia has revised its Paid Family Leave Notice to Employees as of October 2026. The updated notice reduces the stated family leave benefit from 12 weeks to six weeks and the medical leave benefit from 12 weeks to 10 weeks. It also changes the maximum weekly benefit amount from $1,190 to $1,100 and expressly states that all covered employers must display the notice in a conspicuous location at each worksite. Because the revised notice contains material changes to employee benefit information and an explicit posting instruction, covered employers should replace the previous version at each applicable worksite.

Connecticut Electronic Monitoring & ADA

Effective: October 1st, 2026

State: Connecticut

Type: Required State Poster

Effective October 1, 2026, Connecticut employers must notify employees of their rights to reasonable workplace accommodations under the ADA. Employers may satisfy this requirement by displaying the state’s new Notice Concerning the Americans with Disabilities Act in a conspicuous, accessible workplace location. Connecticut has also revised its Electronic Monitoring Notice. Employers that conduct electronic monitoring must identify both the types of monitoring used and the specific workplace locations where it may occur. They must also provide employees hired on or after October 1, 2026, with a plain-language statement explaining prohibited activities that may be monitored without advance notice. Connecticut employers should review their postings, replace the previous Electronic Monitoring Notice and display the new ADA notices.
