Tukwila, Washington Minimum Wage Supplement

As part of the Tukwila Municipal Code (TMC) 5.63.040 (A), employers within the city of Tukwila, Washington must now post minimum wage information specific to their city alongside Federal and State posting requirements. Information on the posting includes information regarding the minimum wage paid to employees of both "Large" employers ( $20.29/hr ) and "Mid Size" employers ( $18.29/hr ) effective January 1st 2024. Large employers are defined as: "all employers that employ more than 500 employees, regardless of where those employees are employed, and all franchisees associated with a franchisor or a network of franchises with franchisees that employ more than 500 employees in aggregate". Mid Size employers are defined as: "[an employer] that either employs at least 15 employees regardless of where those employees are employed, or has annual gross revenue over $2 million". These changes are effective July 1st, 2023.
