New Federal EEOC Poster Released
Today, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) released the New "Know Your Rights" poster, which updates and replaces the previous “EEO is the Law” poster.
The new poster uses plain English and bullet points, making it easier for employers and employees to understand their legal rights and responsibilities. The new poster notes that harassment is a prohibited form of discrimination, makes clarifications to sex discrimination, adds a QR code for fast digital access, and provides information regarding equal pay discrimination for federal contractors.
This poster should be placed in a conspicuous location where notices to applicants & employees are customarily posted. In addition to physically posting, covered employers are encouraged to post a notice digitally on their websites in conspicuous locations.
Labor Law Compliance Center has begun to work on this federal change and will be coordinating sending out replacement posters in conjunction with the many January 1, 2023 state changes. As we are anticipating many changes in the upcoming years, you may consider adding the Replacement Plan option to your order.
We expect all posters to be updated with this federal change as soon as Monday, October 24th.
